About the Book:
WHERE PETALS FALL is a gripping and emotional novel with an undercurrent of suspense, featuring a determined mother whose world slowly comes apart around her. Where Petals Fall will appeal to fans of Lisa Scottoline's Save Me or Jodi Picoult's Salem Falls, who love an emotional and gripping read. They will root for Junie as they follow her transition into an indomitable heroine who must reconcile what she discovers about her husband and family’s tragic past, and find a way to put the pieces of her family back together and carry on.
Where to Buy:
Then her father dies of a heart attack and she decides to go home to help her mom. While she is there, she starts to vaguely remember something about a missing friend. She decides she must get to the bottom of it. Is there a tie between her missing friend and her daughter's withdrawl?
The author writes in an easy to read fashion. I found I could read for long periods of time before I realized I'd been reading so long! Her story kept me intrigued. I was not bored at all. At times I was angry, at times I was teary. When I read a book and am stirred emotionally, I am impressed. It is hard to pull off as an author. Melissa Foster did a great job at bringing out emotions in her readers.
One caveat, I was impressed with the writing, but a bit discouraged by some minor cursing in the book. Do I recommend the book? YES!
