Dana finds a letter from her aunt encouraging her to go back to the old family farm- Chokecherry. The letter tells her to heal herself through writing. Since Dana has nothing left where she is, she decides to take the journey. Along the way she picks up a stray dog with one ear that becomes her constant companion. She also meets an interior design artist who gave up his career to care for his ailing mom. This new party becomes inseperable.
Dana learns a lot about her family including the fact that they never did sell the family farm. Now Dana has the opportunity to take it over. With the help of the groundskeeper, Malcolm, the interior designer, Stu, and herself, they work to get the house up to par.
I didn't like the supernatural part of the book. Dana has paranormal powers. This didn't need to be in the story to make it great. But, the story was a good one, and I would recommend it. I love the cover! I wish I could frame it.
