We live in an anti Christian culture. It is fine to mention God, Allah, Buddah, but when one mentions Jesus... LOOKOUT!
I had these questions and more playing in my head after hearing the language some kids use in elementary school, after learning that my son's teacher actually shot down his beliefs and punished him for ridiculous things.
I always wanted to homeschool my son. The Bible says to train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. Unfortunately our homeschool experience came from necessity. Johnathon's father was in a horrible car accident and was in the hospital for 87 days in a town an hour away from our home. Three years later we still homeschool. My son is happier, is more content, and loves to go to church! He asks to read the Bible when we 'forget.' He shares his faith with friends and family. He is growing up to be a mighty man of God.
How do we prepare our children to present the Gospel? We talk about the Word, we meditate on it day and night. We read it. We share it. We pray with our children. We set the example! Children learn what they are around. Be that influence for them so they don't grab their beliefs from the world.
This November the National Religions Liberties Conference will teach you how to better equip your children for the world. Will they know what to do when someone belittles them for their faith? Will they know what rights they have in this country to freedom of speech? It is not the school's job to educate your child in their spiritual beliefs. They gave that up when the Supreme Court voted in favor of removing prayer from schools. We as adults must make sure we have the proper information to give our children. That is where the National Religions Liberties Conference comes in. Enter below to win a trip for you and your family to attend.
Just want to share that the Lord gave me an eye opener when I started to home school my children years ago. He reminded me of the story of Moses where Jochebed did what she could, along with Moses's father, to save him from destruction. They saw that there was something special about him the Bible says. Don't we all see that there is something special about our children? we do. She went to great lengths to protect him. She was able to nurse him while he was being raised as the son of Pharoah's daughter. Pretty interesting That's how I see what I did. I took my children out of the system but the Lord allowed me to nurse them spiritually until the time came for them to go out and make an impact...- Verna from CA
