Heart of a Philanthropist's Take
Every little child will relate to the feeling of wanting to have some control. Of course, Isabella does not have any dangerous responsiblity. Her mom is in the home with her as she is babysitting. The story reminds me of Ameila Bedelia which was my favorite childhood series. Although Isabella doesn't follow directions like Amelia Bedelia, the story has a laugh on every page, and what happens is not what the reader expects. The artwork is simple yet pleasing to the eye. I enjoyed the part where Isabella is reading Baxter a book entitled "Isabella Babysits Baxter." This story is perfect for children 8 and under, and children a bit older will appreciate the humor as well.
