It seems I am always in a hurry. I grab a drink and get in the car and go.
I chose the ten ounce Libre Tea Glass because it has a handle. That makes it easier to hold while I am in the car, and I am less likely to drop my precious drink. If you prefer a larger tea glass, there are other models to choose from.
There are two ways to use the tea glass. I put the loose tea directly into the hot water, wait for the steam to rise so there is not too much pressure in the container, and put the lid on. It takes only a few minutes for a nice dark tea. Remove the lid, leaving the strainer on, and drink. I do it this way because it is quicker for me to have my tea ready and more convenient for driving. The strainer does not get in the way because it is screwed onto the cup. The suggested way to use the tea infuser is to fill the cup with desired amount of water, wait for steam to rise, then place loose tea in the strainer basket. Finally, put the lid onto the Libre glass, and invert. Wait for desired tea strength,. turn the cup over again, and remove the lid and strainer. The tea is ready!
Libre means free in Spanish. The name is a perfect fit as I am liberated to make any new drink my imagination creates. Here are a few of my favorites.
