The family sits at the hospital day in and day out talking with Nelfa, singing her songs, and reading her Bible stories. Mother and Father are understandably distraught. How will they explain to their Dancing Queen that while she was sleeping she had her leg removed to save her life? Why should they have to?
It is heartbreaking what this family is going through. Daily, new challenges come up. . . new burdens to bare. . . new paths to cross. . . all because someone chose to text and drive.
How many times have you picked up your phone while you were driving, believing that you are not affected by using it as you maneuver a gigantic deadly weapon? How many times did you think you could quickly type, "be home in a second?" In that two or three seconds it takes you to type, you could change your life or someone else's for eternity.
