The plan gets tricky when Tillie secretly reads her mother's diary and is given the impression that her mom is not interested in Ginnie's dad, but in her Uncle Jake. (Don't read people's diaries). What will happen? Can Tillie and Ginnie change their family fate forever?
I love that the book is written honestly and very realistically. We all know teen girls can be fickle, and it shows throughout The Secret Sisters Club. I appreciate that the author didn't put any words in her writing that I'd have to be hesitant to let any young girl or boy read. The story is easy to read. It is fun. I highly suggest The Secret Sisters Club to girls 9-14.
